The SORBONT-HS wiper is made from Sontara®, a micro-level cleaning fabric by DuPont™ SORBONT-HS is a polyester cellulose nonwoven blend fabric manufactured through hydroentangling technology, specifically engineered for critical cleanroom applications. Utilizing a proprietary patterning and formation spunlacing process, the combination of cellulose and polyester provides a thicker, bulkier, and tear-resistant, three dimensional structure that is higher in sorbent capacity and rate. The Sontara® manufacturing process removes environmental impurities and creates an exceptionally clean material suitable for ISO Class 5 (FS Class 100) cleanroom environments. The hydroentangling process used to make SORBONT-HS requires no binders, chemical, adhesives or finishes which ensures low extractable levels and good solvent resistance.
