MicroSeries line of agitator bead mills provides wet grinding of small batches (0.14 to 0.5 liter) with resultant particles down to 10 to 20 nanometers in size. This laboratory-sized equipment is completely scalable to full production and minimizes product loss, making it ideal for the grinding of high-quality, high-priced and scarce pharmaceutical materials. With nano-formulations, producers can introduce new uses for BCS class III and IV active pharmaceutical ingredients, which typically have low solubility (less than 0.1 mg/L) and/or low permeability.
