The compact Direct-Q 3 system supplies both pure (Type 3) water for basic applications such as final glassware rinsing and ultrapure (Type 1) water for critical applications such as HPLC mobile-phase preparation. Reverse osmosis produces pure water stored in a 6 L reservoir that is integrated into the system. Ultrapure water is generated on demand at a flow rate of 1 L/min. The single-cartridge design saves time and improves laboratory productivity due to the disposable cartridge and one-step self-care process. The backlit color display uses bright icons to indicate clearly ultrapure water quality, pure water level in the reservoir and the pack replacement messages for system maintenance. The new Direct-Q 3 system is available with an integrated, dual-wavelength ultraviolet (UV) lamp for organic and bacterial reduction. This compact system can be wall or bench-mounted.
