CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. (AP) — AptarGroup Inc., which makes dispensers for perfumes and other liquids, said Wednesday it agreed to buy Stelmi Group for about $207 million.
Stelmi Group is based in France and makes packaging components used for injectable drugs. AptarGroup will pay 165 million euros ($206.7 million) for the company, including its Paris research and development facility and two manufacturing plants in Normandy.
AptarGroup, based in Crystal Lake, Ill., has pharmaceutical facilities near the Stelmi manufacturing plants. It said Stelmi Group had 83 million euros in revenue last year. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter.
Shares of AptarGroup fell 84 cents to close at $49.87.
