A Chattanooga woman will serve 44 years in federal prison after being charged with operating a pill mill.
WRCB-TV reports 40-year-old Faith Blake was sentenced Thursday. Blake will serve three years of probation after she is released. Officials say she will have to forfeit over $2 million, which is the amount she generated from her illegal clinics.
Blake pleaded guilty to a federal grand jury indictment charging her with conspiring to distribute prescription drugs outside the scope of professional practice with no legitimate medical purpose.
Blake admitted to being involved in two drug conspiracies. One conspiracy involved a clinic, which she co-owned with her mother Barbara Lang, who was also charged in the case. The second involved another clinic that Blake solely owned.
