SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Wolf Medical Supply Inc. has settled a patent dispute with a Kimberly-Clark Corp. division over an infusion pump used in antibiotic treatments and chemotherapy.
Wolf Medical said it has resumed selling the line of pumps at the center of the dispute. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Kimberly-Clark spokeswoman Kay Jackson said the consumer products company, maker of Huggies diapers and Kleenex tissues, was pleased with the agreement with Wolf Medical and looked forward to renewing a partnership with Wolf.
Kimberly Clark sued Wolf Medical and First Medical Source last July in federal court in Santa Ana, Calif., accusing the companies of patent infringement.
First Medical settled with Kimberly-Clark this month, with each side paying its own legal bills and First Medical agreeing not to sell or import similar pumps, according to court documents.
Wolf Medical had said Kimberly-Clark’s patents weren’t valid because the companies didn’t disclose similar previous inventions.
