INTERPHEX 2019 is the premiere event where the community in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and device development and manufacturing fields can “Experience Science through Commercialization.” This annual show brings together thousands of the world’s top industry professionals and suppliers to “Learn It, Experience It, Procure It,” through its technical conference, exhibits, demonstrations and networking events. Attendees will discover state-of-the-art solutions to cost effectively develop and manufacture quality products, and keep up with today’s ever-changing global pharmaceutical market.
This year’s featured Keynotes include “Designing Continuous Manufacturing Processes for Solid-Dosage Drugs: Development to Commercial Scale,” which focuses on two advantages of continuous manufacturing compared with batch manufacturing—rapid development and flexibility in scale. The use of 3D printing, a factor in both in today’s pharmaceutical industry as well as the processes and equipment of tomorrow, will be explored in “3D Printing Applications in Pharma,”“3D Printing of Solid-Dosage Drugs: Current Capabilities and Future Vision” and “Accelerating Additive Manufacturing for Bio/Pharma.” These sessions will all be held on Tuesday, April 2.
The Keynotes on Wednesday, April 3, will kick off with “Meeting Bioprocessing Manufacturing Capacity Demands,” with a discussion of how the industry is responding to production-related challenges. It will be followed by “State of the Bioprocessing Industry: Global Shifts in Capacity, Innovations, and Trends in Outsourcing,” as well as “Solutions for Efficient, Cost-Effective Biologic Drug Manufacturing.” The other keynotes will focus on “Minimizing Contamination in Aseptic Manufacturing,” “Aseptic Processing: Industry Trends and Challenges,” “Tech Talk: Top Issues and How New Technologies and Services Address Them,” and “Regulatory Issues and Innovation.”
The 2019 show will also feature the annual INTERPHEX Exhibitor Awards. This innovative program was established to recognize companies that provide cutting-edge technologies and value-added solutions and services that enable pharma and bio development and manufacturing companies to achieve business and production goals and objectives with the ultimate goal of transforming critical and affordable life-enhancing ideas to cost effective, quality products.
Winners will be awarded for showcasing innovative technologies and/or new strategies and services that have significantly improved pharma and bio development and manufacturing. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, April 2 at 9:45 a.m., as part of the Opening Ceremony. Exhibitor Award meter boards will be placed at each Show Entrance and Winning Exhibit.
