On August 2nd, 2016, Bloomberg reported that Novo Nordisk A/S’s Victoza, a diabetes treatment that dominates its class of drugs, was shunned by U.S. pharmacy benefits manager Express Scripts Holding Co. for at least the second year in a row, signaling that the Danish company refused to concede on pricing. Victoza, the market leader among drugs known as GLP-1 analogs that stimulate insulin production, is forecasted to generate sales of $3.09 billion this year, according to analysts’ estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
Biodel
Danbury, Connecticut headquartered Biodel Inc.’s stock finished the day 5.00% lower at $0.40 and with a total volume of 324,914 shares traded.
