The Lyssy tester offers speed, ease-of-use, and accuracy that may be comparable to the USP method required for FDA approval for moisture permeability. The unit presents packaging engineers and product formulators with early and frequent moisture vapor transmission rates that can be used to test a variety of alternative packaging methods, material selection, and/or container shapes. The tester measures water vapor permeability of films, blister packaging, substrates, metalized foils, impermeabilized fabrics, surgical and hygienic membranes, PUR-coated fabrics, and coated papers.
