The company’s exclusive electropolishing process produces tubing with surface roughness values of 15?-in (0.4?m) Ra maximum on the ID surface. These tubes are ideal for ultra-high purity, bio-tech and pharmaceutical applications. Electropolishing is performed in the company’s Janesville plant in the industry’s only mill-related facility, which includes an ISO Class 5 cleanroom. This process results in an essentially featureless ID surface topography that is easy to clean or sterilize. Without crevices on the surface, there is no place for microbials to hide. The tubes are purged with electronics-grade nitrogen and capped with mylar patches and vinyl plastic caps to maintain the integrity of the ID surface. Each tube is packaged in a heat sealed, 6-mil poly sleeve that is securely packed in wood boxes for immediate delivery.
