HYDERABAD, India (AP) — Police say a suspected gas leak in a drug
manufacturing plant in southern India has killed at least two workers.
Police officer Sunder Kumar Das says another four workers were hospitalized
early Wednesday in Bolrum. The industrial township is on the outskirts of
Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh state.
The suspected leak occurred in the plant of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, which
has over 100 generics for sale in emerging markets.
Other details are not immediately available. Police are investigating.
