International Pharmaceutical Expo (INTERPHEX), the premier pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical event dedicated to innovation, technology and knowledge, and sponsored by the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA), and SKAN US, Inc., a subsidiary of SKAN AG Switzerland and the world’s largest provider of isolator technology, today announced SKAN’s flexible production solution, Pharmaceutical Safety Isolator L-Flange System (PSI-L), will be exhibited on the show floor during INTERPHEX 2015, April 21-23.
SKAN is also providing engineers and key decision makers attending INTERPHEX 2015 a chance to participate in the first ever “SKAN Engineering Olympics”. The SKAN Engineering Olympics were developed to showcase the dexterity and flexibility via the barrier isolation glove box of the PSI-L. This unique and challenging event will take place within their expanded exhibit booth on the show floor of INTERPHEX 2015. The SKAN Engineering Olympics will consist of two disciplines to be performed within the PSI-L; Discipline #1 involves moving BB’s one by one, using forceps, from the bowl to a vial, forty-five seconds and Discipline # 2 will be the Squeeze Test, participants will utilize a squeeze force measuring device to accurately gauge applied pressure. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded for both men and women contestants. First Prize winners will receive a Microsoft Surface™. The contest will end on Thursday, April 22, at 12:00pm (EST). Winners will be determined by contest results and awarded by SKAN US.
