The Allegro™ single-use tangential flow filtration system is a compact, easy-to-use and fully automated TFF system that provides flexibility in manufacturing. Adopting a single-use approach for TFF reduces system preparation and cleaning time and costs, downtime in the production arena, risk of batch or cross contamination, and validation time and costs. The system has ½-inch tubing and a recirculation pump capacity of 1,000 L per hour. It can be run with a 20 L or 100 L feed biocontainer on the system, and run in fed batch mode if process volumes are larger. The single-use manifolds are supplied gamma-irradiated with pre-calibrated single-use instruments. This feature, combined with innovative design for the hardware and the manifolds, ensures simple installation and de-installation.
