The company recently released an expansion to its disposable products portfolio with the new single-use mixing system, imPULSE. The single-use mixing system allows manufacturers to mix their powder/liquid or liquid/liquid solutions in an environment which eliminates cross contamination, requires less validation and efficiently requires shorter cycle times and provides quicker start-up. This product is an important addition in the advancement of the company’s product portfolio and demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing relevant solutions which support the industry’s focus in single-use bioprocess platforms. The units can efficiently mix down to near empty and maintain a consistent solution or suspension as the contents are dispensed. The agitator speed is variable and decreases as the liquid levels drop. Additional process features include inflation, purge and vent controls, temperature maintenance jackets, weight indication and control system, peristaltic pumps, jib crane and electric hoist for powder handling, and data loggers and communications to SCADA systems. The mixing system is available as a turn-key system from design through to preventative maintenance.
