MONTEREY, CA (Sept. 20, 2004) – Sierra Instruments, Inc., a United States-based manufacturer of gas mass flow meters and controllers, has expanded operations into China.
Sierra Asia Instruments, located on the south bank of the Pearl River in Guangzhou, China, operates as a sales and service center in the Asia-Pacific marketplace, providing application and engineering support for Sierra products.
The expansion is expected to bolster support for customers and distributors in China and throughout the Asian region.
The company’s flow meters and controllers generally are used in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotech, automotive, facilities management, general process control and research applications.
The founder and managing director of Sierra Asia is Alex Chan, Ph.D., industrial engineering, the company said.
