GENEVA, Switzerland (June 7, 2004) – More than 150 scientists, researchers and public health experts from around the world are expected to meet in Switzerland for the Global Vaccine Research Forum to present, debate and offer advice on vaccine research and development, as well as vaccine policy and implementation.
The topics for the Forum, to be held June 7-10, include SARS, measles, influenza, rubella and meningitis. In addition, the progress of vaccines for HIV/AIDS will be discussed.
The meeting is sponsored by the World Health Organization’s Initiative for Vaccine Research and the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization.
