Systems include direct, semi-indirect and indirect cooling systems that can be supplied in different cooling capacities. Control systems are designed to provide precise temperature control without causing freezing or other process disruptions. The systems provide the most complete way to cool down chemical reactions to temperatures below -40°C by using LIN to cool a heat transfer fluid in an external heat exchanger. LIN reaction cooling offers multiple benefits compared to mechanical cooling, including more precise temperature control by maintaining, increasing or decreasing the flow of LIN. In addition, LIN usage automatically adjusts to meet refrigeration requirements and, in cases of indirect and semi-indirect cooling, the LIN can be reused elsewhere in the operation, thus further reducing operating costs. The company uses proprietary in-house computational modeling systems that can help predict the cooling profile of a customer’s reaction.
