HARRISBURG, PA (August 10, 2004) – Phoenix Contact Inc. announced the acquisition of Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Entivity, Inc., makers of Steeplechase and Think & DO products.
Phoenix said the acquisition provides it with a USA software resource based on PC technologies. The installation of Entivity products on Phoenix hardware platforms will provide PC functionality in embedded form factors, the company said. Phoenix said it has been working with Entivity on joint products since November 2002.
A manufacturer of industrial automation, interconnection, and interface solutions, Phoenix Contact Inc. has U.S. headquarters in Harrisburg, Penn. with world headquarters in Blomberg, Germany. Phoenix serves a variety of customers in the industrial controls, material handling and process industries.
