Pharmatech Launches New Solid Dose Division

By Pharmaceutical Processing | January 13, 2009

Pharmatech Associates, a leading consultancy in the regulated life sciences industry, has launched a new division to provide specialized equipment training and project engineering services for solid dose manufacturers in the pharmaceutical industry. When equipment up-time and productivity issues come to bear, optimizing equipment performance across multiple lines and multiple vendors can significantly impact operational performance. Pharmatech’s Solid Dose Division will provide a single point of contact for customers in the jungle of pharmaceutical equipment suppliers. Industry veteran Peter Freese will head up the new division as general manager. With Arthur “Butch” Pagliero serving as senior engineer, the core team represents over 60 years experience in the solid dose market. “As the pharmaceutical industry pushes to improve overall performance, an often overlooked area is the equipment on the shop floor. Stabilizing and optimizing these systems is an essential step to improving bottom-line results,” said Calvin Wong, chairman and CEO of Pharmatech Associates. “Pharmatech has put together a team with a reputation for innovation and proven experience in the entire solid dose process. Using a systematic approach, we will offer hands-on instruction for key process equipment while evaluating ways to improve and maintain the throughput and product quality of our customers’ new or existing lines,” said Freese.
