Pharma EXPO: Fertile Ground for Cross Pollinating Ideas

By Pharmaceutical Processing | September 16, 2015

Pharma EXPO, co-owned and produced by PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), arrives for its Las Vegas debut at the Las Vegas Convention Center Sept. 28–30 with essential educational programming, expert suppliers, and tremendous networking opportunities.

But that’s not all.

Because it’s co-located with PMMI’s PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2015, a trip to Pharma EXPO means you’ll be immersed in a small city of solutions for processing, packaging, and all stages of the pharmaceutical lifecycle; a city with more than 2,000 suppliers, over 30,000 attendees, and more than 800,000 net square feet of exhibit space.

Here’s some of what you can expect to find.

Education & Answers

Pharma EXPO is a learning experience. The three-day Pharma EXPO Conference program, organized by ISPE, features subject matter experts and industry innovators in free sessions, conveniently located on the show floor. The Innovation Stages, The Center for Trends and Technologies, The Food Safety Summit Resource Center, the Reusable Packaging Learning Center, and individual exhibitors all provide free education, presented by industry thought leaders.

The Pharma EXPO Conference runs from 9:00 a.m.–2:50 p.m. daily. Tickets are available and you can purchase tickets for individual sessions, single days, or the full conference when you register to attend the show. The conference schedule and registration are online at pharmaexpo.com. Sessions take place in Room N-253 Monday, September 28 through Wednesday, September 30, in three day-long tracks:

  • Monday: Manufacturing Operations

  • Tuesday: Compliance Trends

  • Wednesday: Pharmaceutical Packaging

The Innovation Stages (Booths N-559, C-1041, C-1045, C-1049) are locations for quality education without leaving the show floor. Leading innovators in processing and packaging present free 30-minute sessions on the trends and technologies changing your business, and how to make the most of them.

The Center for Trends & Technology (CTT) (Booth C-4829) are brought to PACK EXPO by Rockwell Automation and its PartnerNetwork™ Program. They provide an up-close look at automation technologies and how they’ll make your operation run more smoothly with less downtime.

Insights & Community

Pharma EXPO’s co-location alongside PACK EXPO means access to more than 40 vertical markets and a depth and breadth of solutions that’s unparalleled. It also means networking. The PACK EXPO trade shows create connections and community.

To kick start the camaraderie, PACK gives BACK™ on the 28th combines fun times and a great cause. PACK EXPO’s signature charity fundraiser will feature a performance from legendary recording artists Chicago. A portion of ticket proceeds will go to the Fisher House Foundation and Nevada Military Alliance to support Nevada’s first Fisher House.

Fisher House Foundation is best known for its network of comfort homes near military hospitals and Veterans’ Administration medical facilities, where family members can stay at no cost while a service member or veteran receives treatment.

Registration for Pharma EXPO and PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2015 is online at pharmaexpo.com. For $30 ($100 after Sept. 14), you’ll have access to the full span of exhibits. Separate fees apply for the Pharma EXPO Conference program: $90 for a single session, $145 for a full day pass, and $350 for a full conference pass ($140, $220 and $500, respectively, after Sept. 14). Tickets to PACK gives BACK are $100 ($90/person if purchased in groups of 10), and a portion of ticket proceeds will support the Fisher House Foundation and the Nevada Military Alliance.
