NEW YORK (AP) — Generic drug developer Perrigo Co. said it is challenging Stiefel Research Australia Pty. Ltd.’s patent on a dermatosis drug.
Stiefel Research Australia filed a suit against Perrigo in U.S. District court for the District of Delaware on Monday, the company said.
Perrigo is trying to make a generic version of Olux-E Foam, a topical corticosteroid for the treatment of moderate to severe dermatosis of the scalp. The product had sales of $41.5 million during the 12-month period ending in May.
