The 520 Series of peristaltic pumps provide highly accurate metering and dosing performance, and features an inherently sanitary design. The series is ideal for fermentation processes in biopharmaceutical applications to precisely meter acids, alkalis, antifoaming agents and media. The 520 Series now offers a new pumphead designed to allow a higher range of flow rates with a wider turndown ratio. The large swept volume of the newly designed pumphead allows for a greater volumetric displacement per revolution, resulting in longer tube life and gentle handling of shear-sensitive fluids. In addition, the redesigned 520R pumphead consists of a glass-filled polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) housing and stainless steel parts providing excellent chemical resistance.
