Novartis said today it will add 300 new jobs and invest
$600 million over the next five years to expand its global research
headquarters campus in Cambridge,
Mass.
The company said it plans to expand its current facility in Cambridge by more than
400,000 square feet. Construction is expected to begin in 2011.
Shares of Novartis, based in Switzerland, fell 34 cents to
$57.40 in midday trading.
