Watson-Marlow Introduces New Peristaltic Pump for Single-Use Downstream Bioprocessing

(Credit: Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group)

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) has unveiled its new Quantum peristaltic pump with a patented ReNu single-use (SU) Technology cartridge.

Quantum’s pump technology for bioprocessing enables higher downstream process yields throughout the pressure range, delivering virtually pulse free linear flow, low shear and easy validation aligned with BPOG guidelines, according to the company.

The pump removes the need for flow meters and load cells. Flow linearity is achieved across the 3 bar SU processing pressure range up to 20 liter/min, with trace pulsation of only ±0.12 bar that is far lower than other pumps.  This virtually pulse-free performance enables constant pressure, thus maximizing process efficiency and yield.  INTERPHEX Booth No. 2833
