The Innova-Mass® line of Multivariable Vortex Mass Flow Meters now features integrated MODBUS Communication. The easy-to-use interface features direct import of the following variables: meter serial number; totalized flow plus units; mass and volumetric flow plus units; velocity and Reynold’s number of the flowing fluid; pressure and temperature of the flowing fluid; and fluid properties including density and viscosity. Full implementation of HART Protocol provides access to all measured variables and programming menus and permits field-configuration without disruption of the existing measurement signal. The flow meter can be configured directly from the control panel or workstation, or with the HART 275 Communicator. Innova-Mass provides outputs for five process variables – mass flow rate, volumetric flow rate, temperature, pressure, and fluid density. Complete self-diagnostics and configuration capability for outputs, ranges, engineering units and totalization can be accessed locally or remotely. The instrument’s diagnostics module also includes a fault log and a forcing function to test meter outputs.
