The Hamburg-based Körber Group is buying Seidenader Maschinenbau GmbH, Markt Schwaben (near Munich). Seidenader is one of the world’s leading
manufacturers of inspection machines, software and vision applications for
pharmaceutical production. Körber AG is using this acquisition to boost its
fast-growing Pharmaceutical Packaging Systems Division headed by Körber
Medipak.
Körber Medipak is the world’s
only supplier of comprehensive packaging systems for the pharmaceutical
industry, and acts as a one-stop-shop for packaging and automation solutions
for different medical dosage forms. Seidenader’s inspection systems for the
healthcare industry represent an important and trendsetting addition to the
spectrum of services offered by the Körber Medipak Group.
Seidenader has 365 employees in
Germany and the U.S. The company has grown fast in recent years, and its sales
currently amount to around €55 million. The two previous Managing Partners,
Nikolaus Seidenader and Volker Weders-hoven, will continue to head the company
as Managing Directors.
