Baxter’s Dr. Steven Nail presents “Recent Advances in Pharmaceutical Freeze Drying Technology”. Dr. Steven Nail will present an overview of current developments in pharmaceutical freeze-drying technology, with particular emphasis on process analytical technology and its connection to Quality by Design on April 21 at 10:15am. Baxter is using tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) to quantitate equipment capability at both the laboratory and production scale, both as an aid to scale-up and as a means to establish a process design space for individual products. Baxter’s Lyophilization Center of Excellence is an industry-leading resource staffed by top educators in the lyophilization field. It is dedicated to the development of high-quality freeze dried products through novel solutions that optimize efficiency and yield. Dr. Steven Nail is a Senior Research Scientist in the Pharmaceutical Development Organization of Baxter Pharmaceutical Solutions in Bloomington, Indiana.
