The FL-M-3 Laboratory Fluid Bed system is a multi-functional granulation, coating and drying unit that incorporates three processing inserts for processing a wide range of products and batch sizes. Process inserts include a product container with a top spray system for granulating, coating and drying; a 12 inches rotor with a tangential spray system for granulation, spheronization, layering and coating and a combination product container and tapered wurster insert for fine particle coating and drying. The wurster insert features the company’s Wurster Coating Accelerator system for improved fine particle coating uniformity and to reduce coating times. The process control system utilizes a MicroLogic processor for control function timing and sequencing. Operational mode is manual with on/off buttons and discrete controllers. Or, a Touch Screen PLC based control system is available to fully automate process control and monitoring.
