Opti-Clean filter housings eliminate the collection chamber of conventional housings, and incorporates a specially machined, angled cartridge plate in the base which allows for complete drainage of any filtered and unfiltered product. The housing interior can be thoroughly sanitized using an automated multi-head spray wand in a CIP process that meets the stringent riboflavin test at flow rates as low as 10gpm. In addition, Opti-Clean’s design eliminates 75% of the O-ring closures found in conventional filter housings, another area of concern for possible contamination in ultra-pure applications.
