On Thursday, 9/8, Fette Compacting America Inc. celebrated 25 years of operation.
Fette Compacting America Inc., a subsidiary of the German-based manufacturer, Fette Compacting GmbH, was founded in 1991 and is a leader in precision tablet press technology. Headquartered in Rockaway, NJ, the company’s serves clients in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
“The global sales of pharmaceutical drugs have multiplied six times,” said Müller.
Olaf J. Müller spoke during the opening ceremony of Fette’s anniversary celebration.
“In the year 1991 we started our activities in this operation,” said Müller. “Germany [at that time] was considered the global pharmacy due to a lot of R&D work in the pharmaceutical industry in Europe and specifically also in Germany. America was already, in those times, the biggest pharmaceutical market of the world and still is.”
Müller goes on to add that is wasn’t by chance that Fette Compacting founded its operation in the Americas.
“And if we look back over the last 25 years, the global sales of pharmaceutical drugs have multiplied six times,” said Müller.
“More than 60 percent of sales of pharmaceuticals recently introduced to the market still takes place in the American market,” said Müller.
“People live longer today. The average life expectancy, today (in comparison to 100 years ago), is 30 years more,” said Müller, adding that people don’t only live longer, but they also have a better quality of life.
Earlier this year at INTERPHEX in NYC, Fette unveiled its first capsule filling machine, the FEC40, which utilizes some of the technologies from Fette’s tablet presses. It is the world’s first capsule filling machine that is driven fully by servo and torque motors and doubles the previously set output record at 400,000 capsules per hour.
“Fette Compacting has become the global market leader for tablet press technology,” said Müller. “Looking back, the last 25 years has been a tremendous success story, but we trust that the coming years will be as successful as the past.”
