The company is announcing an expansion to its fill and finish drug manufacturing service business. Construction of their corporate headquarters and production facility in Billerica, MA began in 2011 and completes this year. Operation of their new drug development laboratories is currently on-line. Completion of construction associated with the cornerstone of their investment — the installation of their state-of-the-art automated, barrier isolation aseptic filling line — is expected this summer. The new facility will be the first CMO in the New England area to utilize isolator technology in support of a wide array of customer needs, from small clinical fills up to full commercial scale production for markets worldwide. This gold-standard aseptic technology will provide customers with the highest level of sterility assurance and worldwide regulatory compliance for both liquid fill and lyophilized parenteral drugs.
