The new Pharma-Cushion label features a layer of foam on the label’s reverse side that securely wraps around glass containers, minimizing the risk of damage while products are being processed or in transport. The label provides pharmaceutical manufacturers with an efficient and eco-friendly packaging and marking solution that avoids complex secondary packaging, which can increase material cost and decrease the number of vials that can be shipped per box. Its thin, flexible material structure affords easy application to glass containers, while the front is used for product identification and other marking purposes. It addresses an ongoing issue: glass vials are prone to damage by clashing during the transportation process, including movement during shipping and transfer from boxes to storage shelves at destinations. In addition to economic setbacks due to loss of product, this poses the risk of releasing toxic substances and contaminating other packaging materials via soaking.
