The company has introduced CPS Technology®, a direct pelletization process designed to produce high-potency API pellets that are uniform and have good surface morphology. It is an advanced processing technology, allowing the preparation of pellets with predetermined properties in a batch process —extremely low-dose and highly potent drugs can be formulated using the pellets as well as high-dosed APIs with the drug concentration varying from <1 percent up to >90 percent. Outstanding final dosage characteristics of the pellets are: spherical and smooth pellet surface, high density/low porosity pellets, broad potency range of APIs can be accommodated, low attrition and friability for greater yields, dust free surfaces, mean particle size range of 100 to 1,500 microns and narrow particle size distribution for limited lot to lot variability.
