FLECOZIP® is a novel and innovative docking system from the FLECOTEC® product line, which enables a wide spectrum of applications in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and food industry. It is a contamination-free docking, storage, and transfer system for the handling of toxic or sensitive bulk solids. The basic component of the docking system is the patented, split zip fastener which joins two separate connections together, airtight and dustless. The docking and opening of the two connections is executed via the slider, a separate component, which safely connects the half-fasteners to be docked before they are opened. To close and undock the connection, simply pull the slider in the opposite direction. The half-fasteners are available in any length, which opens new horizons in flexible containment technology. The system is a transportable, low-cost rapid transfer port — you can move virtually any hand-carried item from “A” to “B” in a contained manner. It is available for virtually any application as it is made with FDA acceptable LDPE, which is low-cost and easily customized. The half-fasteners to be docked can have different lengths — for example, you can dock a 100 mm (4-inch) connection to a 300 mm (12-inch) connection. Andocksystem offers a full range of “industry standard bag containers” from milliliter sizes to 100 liters. These are available on both “wide bag with funnel outlet” and “straight tube” configurations. In addition, Andocksystem also offers their novel FLECODRUM bag system. The FLECODRUM bag has the FLECOZIP® system on the top and bottom so it does not have to be inverted between filling and subsequent discharging. Another feature is that both the top and bottom have a specially designed system to allow the bag to stand upright like a drum, making storage and transportation easier than ever. Besides these specified units, there are additional components available such as cleaning adapters, samplers, additional clamping fasteners, and other useful accessories. The materials of the pre-tailored bags and adapters are available in different thicknesses, have all certificates required in the above mentioned industries, are FDA and GMP-conforming, and are also available in an antistatic version. All units are produced under clean room conditions and remain in this ambience until the final packaging and dispatch. The units can be sterilized before delivery and are therefore appropriate for the use in the sterile area. Each technology of the product line offers a unique alternative in the field of the contamination-free docking systems for flexible bags particularly conceived for the non-returnable use.
