The HD P.A.S.S. Code (Packaging. Authentication. Security. Scan. Code) is unique in its ability to encrypt up to 703 kilobytes of data, as opposed to traditional 2D barcodes that are limited to approximately 4 kilobytes of data. Incorporate comprehensive product information including complete product specifications, full-color images, e-pedigree data and anti-counterfeiting covert codes. Pharmaceutical companies can encode specific variables, such as a six-digit identifier, and then match the identifier to the GSI Code data for complete product authentication. All data is embedded within the code, thus eliminating the need for massive databases or Internet access to retrieve information. A mobile phone application is provided enabling the recipient to read and compare the HD P.A.S.S. Code to the GS1 Code. If both codes match, preliminary verification has passed. Further authentication is achieved by reading the encrypted information within the HD P.A.S.S. Code then identifying unique covert features. The code features a print generator program that is kept secure while integrated with the manufacture’s printing operation. The print generator program adds a unique code containing any or all of the following: carton/label identifier; revision number; carton manufacturer, plant location and date of manufacture; region specific distribution; additional covert features with their specific locations on the printed materials.
