The company has developed a safety label for blister packs after three years of intensive R&D work. This certified, child-resistant solution for tablet blisters involves six barrier levels that children must overcome if they want to access the contents of a blister pack. For children aged up to 4 ½ years old, such barriers represent an almost insurmountable obstacle because they are adapted to the motor skills and cognitive abilities of young children. The CRSF solution (child-resistant and senior-friendly) is a complex safety solution that can be affixed to the face of a blister pack like an ordinary label. Because it is so difficult to open, children will struggle with the packaging. Adults, however, can remove their tablets without effort as opening involves an automatic motion which is similar to the one used to undo the press and twist caps of cleaning agents.
