Checkweigher Operates At High Speeds And High Accuracies

By Pharmaceutical Processing | December 27, 2004

The Beltweigh/S Combo Checkweigher features the company’s new S Series Controller and a Safeline&reg Metal Detector. The new S Series touch-screen control provides ease-of-operation and improves machine performance while superior accuracy is delivered at high production rates with the servo-driven Beltweigh/S product handling system. The Beltweigh/S is suited for a wide range of products and can even be equipped with the company’s LogIn Server option to meet FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. Unit operates at speeds up to 350 feet per minute to handle up to 500 containers per minute while consistently achieving and maintaining accuracies of 150 mg at 2 sigma. Weighing accuracy is achieved by using a high-performance servomotor and advanced electronics to minimize vibration while the heavy-duty frame construction provides a stable yet durable foundation. The Safeline&reg metal detector features advanced digital signal processing ensuring optimized detection performance, while the easy-to-use controls allow for fast product set-ups and changeovers. Up to 100 product recipes can be pre-programmed, enabling product-specific machine and control parameters to be downloaded for fast and easy set-up and changeover with no tools and no mechanical adjustments required. The checkweigher offers multiple language support for on-screen dialog and password protection for multiple access levels.
