SOMERSET, N.J. (AP) _ Catalent Inc. (CTLT) on Thursday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $26 million.
On a per-share basis, the Somerset, New Jersey-based company said it had profit of 21 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 38 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 37 cents per share.
The maker of drug delivery technologies posted revenue of $532.6 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $472.6 million.
Catalent expects full-year revenue in the range of $1.94 billion to $1.98 billion.
Catalent shares have risen slightly more than 7 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $28.93, a decline of 1 percent in the last 12 months.
