C3i, a provider of electronic data capture software, is launching C3i TechCRO, which significantly extends its existing capabilities to better serve clients running clinical trial operations around the world.
This new service includes the ability to host clinical data management systems for clients, eliminate IT infrastructure, and reduce resource expenditures with subscription-based application licensing of Oracle Clinical, Oracle Remote Data Capture and Oracle Thesaurus Management (TMS) software. By introducing a subscription license model, support services, and clinical data management in turnkey or staff augmentation variations, C3i’s TechCRO enables small- to medium-sized organizations to focus on their core business, leaving the implementation, maintenance, business process execution and validation of the technology to C3i.
Kevin Shea, C3i’s senior solution architect, notes: “Our research has shown that an increasing number of experienced sponsors and CROs want a flexible, rapidly deployed solution that includes quality software, validation, security, and ease of use – allowing them to focus on their core business of creating successful drug and device candidates. TechCRO delivers this.”
In addition to the core service offerings, C3i’s TechCRO also provides strategic services in business process management, analysis, and workflow evaluation to assist organizations as they transition to more robust and comprehensive clinical data management solutions.
The cornerstone of TechCRO is the capability to provide a subscription-based clinical data management system hosted in C3i’s fully validated and compliant data center.
By teaming with Oracle’s Health Sciences Global Business Unit and working with the “BPO Powered by Oracle” program, C3i clients can realize the substantial benefits of market leading data capture and management tools without the overhead, long-term commitment, and wait that a traditional on-premise implementation entails.
“C3i is pleased to be expanding our relationship with Oracle,” says Joel Morse, CEO of C3i. “This solution leverages the tremendous experience we have providing clinical support, training, and administrative services to many of the world’s largest sponsors and CROs, and allows us to meet the evolving needs of both existing and new customers.”
“The ability of our partners to serve the specific needs of our customers is very important to us,” says Dave Bunker, Vice President of Oracle Health Sciences Global Business Unit. “C3i’s track record of delivering high-quality, tailored, and scalable services to our largest pharmaceutical customers makes them well-qualified to deliver this exciting new option.”
The services and solutions that C3i’s TechCRO offers are natural extensions to the company’s existing services in technical site implementation and provisioning, clinical training/qualification, and 24/7 multi-lingual help desk services. By bundling Oracle licenses, data center hosting, and clinical data management services with its existing capabilities, C3i now offers the only full-service capability to the Oracle Clinical market, allowing clients to utilize a single vendor to provide the full range of operations, infrastructure, support, and logistical services required to initiate, manage and close a clinical study.
