RayzeBio, a subsidiary of Bristol Myers Squibb, announced plans to construct a new $173 million facility in Whitestown, Indiana.
The 225,000-square-foot facility will be located at the Anson Industrial Park in Boone County and will manufacture radiopharmaceutical therapies (RPTs). Construction is expected to begin this year.
The company currently has a 77,000-square-foot RPT supply and manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, which began operations in July 2025.
“Indiana is an important part of our strategy to build the infrastructure needed to advance the next generation of radiopharmaceutical therapies,” Ben Hickey, president of RayzeBio said in a press release. “This investment expands our manufacturing capabilities, creates high-quality jobs, and strengthens our ability to deliver innovation for patients. We’re proud to grow our presence in Indiana and contribute to the state’s emergence as a leading hub for life sciences manufacturing.”
RayzeBio was acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb in 2024 and is focused on advancing actinium-based RPTs and a pipeline of investigational drug development programs for cancer.
Indiana, which is trademarked by BioCrossroads as the ‘Radiopharmaceutical Capital of the World,’ also houses Novartis’ radioligand plant. Eli Lilly also has a presence in the state after buying Point Biopharma, an Indianapolis-based startup, in 2023.
