EWING, N.J. (AP) _ Antares Pharma Inc. (ATRS) on Tuesday reported a loss of $2.8 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Ewing, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 3 cents per share.
The drugmaker posted revenue of $13.4 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $13 million.
The company’s shares closed at $3.11. A year ago, they were trading at $1.10.
